Neptune appoints M&G’s Larkin as head of strategic partners

Neptune has appointed M&G’s Andy Larkin as head of strategic partners after completing a review of its UK retail sales team.

Larkin joins from M&G and will head a five-person third-party team at Neptune. Larkin will report to Adam Hughes, who has been appointed head of UK wholesale, overseeing all of Neptune’s UK advisory and discretionary sales following the review.

Neptune has undertaken the review ahead of the retail distribution review in a bid to align the activities of its regional and strategic partner teams.

Former head of strategic partnerships John Lester and two of his team left Neptune in April.

Neptune sales director Patrick Berton says: “With Adam Hughes leading our wholesale proposition, supported by Andy Larkin driving our strategic partner relationships, I am confident that we will achieve the necessary synergies to provide a better service for our clients in all regions across the UK.

The new-look UK wholesale team is due to be fully operational by mid August and will continue to be supported by three office-based sales support staff.”
