NatWest cricket website covers triangle series

NatWest Bank has set up a website as an information centre for cricket fans to support its sponsorship of the triangular cricket series involving England, India and Sri Lanka.

The site, which can be found on the internet at www.natwestseries.com, will provide live scorecards, news headlines, player profiles, competitions and commentary from cricketer Darren Gough.

Users will also be able to play a bespoke cricket game by setting up their own mini-triangular tournament.

The site was designed and built by media agency Zentropy Partners and will be promoted on relevant websites.

NatWest says it has been a major sponsor of cricket since 1981 when it began sponsoring the NatWest Trophy and it has invested a total of £30m in the game in England.

In 2000, the bank ended its sponsorship of the NatWest Trophy and became the first title sponsor of the new annual international triangular competition, the NatWest Series.

Head of NatWest Internet Banking Ron Kalifa says: “I am very excited with the launch of the new microsite and see the use of the internet as integral to support one of our key sponsorships.

“I hope that cricket-lovers will use this site as the definitive guide for all news and match information on the NatWest Series.”
