Nationwide to reduce five-year fixes by 0.1%

Nationwide is to reduce all of its five-year fixed rates by 0.1 per cent for new applications.

From September 1, Nationwide will offer a five-year fixed rate mortgage at 3.69 per cent up to 70 per cent loan-to-value. The product comes with a £900 product fee and a £99 booking fee.

There will also be a five-year fixed with no product fee and a £99 booking fee. It is available at 3.89 per cent up to 70 per cent LTV.

Head of mortgages Martyn Dyson says: “We know from our mortgage consultants and brokers that five-year fixed rate products are popular with borrowers, so our latest rate reduction ensures our deals continue to be amongst the most competitive in the market place.”
