Nationwide helping members go online

Nationwide is promoting its online banking service by offering members discounts on home PCs.

Members can get 7 per cent off the price of a new PC from Dan Technology. If they buy the computer with a Nationwide credit card, they can also get six months&#39 interest-free credit. There is a further £20.64 discount on Dan&#39s home installation service. This includes an introduction to using the PC and Nationwide&#39s internet banking service.

One year&#39s on-site warranty and telephone support service are included. The offer runs until November 30.

Director of e-commerce Jim Willens says: “We want to make our highly rated internet banking service accessible to as many of our 10 million customers as possible. This is part of a programme of initiatives which has included putting internet PCs into many of our branches and offering subscription-free internet access.”
