National Savings mini cash Isa hits £100m

National Savings has revealed sales of its mini-cash Isa have now topped £100m.

It has also claims most of the money invested in its Isa is the result of new savings and not transfers from other products within its range.

The mini-cash Isa which currently pays 5.75 per cent a year guarantees to keep its variable rate at least at the same level as the Bank of England&#39s base rate.

National Savings is hoping the mini-cash Isa will receive a further boost from the fact that customers can now make deposits over the telephone using debit cards and through 19,000 post offices.
