National Mutual staff promoted to support IFAs

National Mutual has promoted several staff to key senior positions where they will be responsible for supporting independent advisers.

Andrew Wilkinson has been appointed head of marketing. He has been with National Mutual for 10 years and was most recently area sales manager for the south of England.

Mike Mead, who joined National Mutual last year after 20 years with Axa Equity & Law, has been made head of operations services.

The new head of national accounts is Mike Jackson. He has been promoted from national accounts manager.

Jackson will be responsible for relationships with major networks and the central sales office.

Helen Thompson has been appointed head of customer services. She joined the company last year to head the human resources department.

All four of the new appointees will report to Graeme Laws, who was appointed deputy managing director with responsibility for sales, marketing and customer services in May.

Wilkinson says: “I am over the moon with my new appointment. Within the financial services sector, we need to support IFAs continuously and this is a further opportunity to do just that.”
