Myners-style investigation into retail investing expected

The industry is expecting a second Myners style investigation into retail investing after today’s publication of the Myners report on institutional pension funds.

Sources close to the report indicate that with-profits, Oeics, unit and investment trusts are to come under the microscope in a new investigation.

This will aim to expose the “obscure” practices that take place in retail investing, including use of free asset ratios and past performance.
