Mortgages-by-phone from Norwich and Peterborough

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society is to launch a discount mortgage, which will only be available through the Society&#39s call centre.

The mortgage offers a choice between a big discount with compulsory buildings and contents insurance, or a lower discount with no compulsory tie-ins.

Direct Business general manager David Jervis says: “Some customers may prefer to insure elsewhere and we offer the flexibility to do so. However, if a customer takes our insurance we can provide a deeper discount.”
