Mortgage Intelligence gets IFAs and buyers together

Mortgage broker network Mortgage Intelligence has set up a new service aimed at helping IFAs market their services to consumers and to allow them to receive mortgage enquiries online.

MI Online costs advisers £175 a month and allows them to create their own branded interactive website with a personalised web address.

Each site will feature best buys, mortgage code information, a mortgage calculator and an online application form which advisers will complete for customers.

IFAs who already have their own website or web address can be linked to the MI Online site.

As well as the customer-focused part of the site, MI Online also has a businessto-business area. This inc-ludes product updates, ind-ustry news and mortgage documentation.

MI have allocated a weekly advertising budget of £10,000 to publicise the site and generate customer leads.

Advertising will appear on internet search engines, personal finance sites, the Yellow Pages and Thomson Directory web pages. Customer leads will be allocated to advisers according to postcode.

Mortgage Intelligence managing director Sally Laker says: “Our aim is to encourage potential customers who are interested in finding out about currently available mortgage offers to contact their local broker&#39s website so that they can have access to expert local mortgage advice.”

I believe offshore products should be among them. We are all aware of the potential […]

Virgin takes an IPA flier

Virgin Direct&#39s announcement of its impending individual pension account launch deserves closer inspection. The company is incorporating IPAs into its pension wrapper but the IPA will be the fund engine sitting within the pension and will not be taking a more prominent role in the scheme. Most life offices struggle to see what advantages IPAs […]

Visiting the Alliance & Leicester IFA conference recently, I was asked whether long gilt yields are ever likely to return to levels which will allow decent annuity rates to be paid and what is a reasonable level of income that can be drawn from a portfolio?
