Morley adds two to global equities team

Morley Fund Management has appointed two new analysts to its global equities team in the form of John Wilson and Nicole Mardell.

Wilson joins from HSBC Asset Management in Tokyo where he was a senior fund manager. He has over 18 years of investment experience.

Mardell joins from First State Investments in London, and brings five years experience as a global equities analyst.

The duo will be responsible for equity research focusing on specific companies, mainly concentrating on the funds four themes: competitive advantage, restructuring, misallocation of capital and redistribution of wealth.

Morley head of global equities team Michael Jennings says: Unconstrained by geographical restrictions, our global equity funds do not buy companies because they are listed on a certain market or in a certain sector, but because we believe there are fundamental reasons why they will outperform.”
