Moneyextra and IFAP offer search site for the public

IFA Promotion and Moneyextra have joined forces to launch a website designed for consumers to searchfor IFAs.

The public will be able to look online for IFAs by postcode or areas of financial interest and will have access to details of all IFAP members.

Accessed through the Moneyextra site, the consumers will be able to choose from 10 IFAs in a postcode area and 14 areas of interests, such as mortgages, investment or even by the adviser&#39s method of remuneration.

Members of Ifap will not be charged extra for the service which will also give a brief description of each IFA with email and website links. IFAs can use the site to make changes to their own details and non-members can use the site tojoin Ifap.

IFAP head of marketing David Elms says: “We have the biggest database of IFAs in the country with access to nearly 6,000 UK head office and branch addresses. This development means we can deliver in a high-profile environment making sure our members&#39 interests are represented on the web as well. This is not an exclusive deal with moneyextra.com, we will take it as far afield as wepossibly can.”
