Money Marketing business transition group

Some of the panel members from the first debate of the Money Marketing business transition
Some of the panel members from the first debate of the Money Marketing business transition group last week: from top: George Kinder, John Baxter, Simon Chamberlain

Money Marketing has created a business transition group, in association with Adviser Evolution and the Money Marketing Academy, aimed at debating the options available for IFAs in the runup to the RDR.

The group met for the first time last week to debate issues put forward by a steering committee of IFAs from across the industry.

It will meet quarterly with new members, including, hopefully, representatives from the FSA, coming on board.

With advisers bombarded with different options from a range of different organisations, the group will try to shed light on the best way to transition your business depending on your needs and where you want to get to.

Attendees at the first meeting were: Veracity Asset Transformation head John Baxter, Succession chief executive Simon Chamberlain, Albion Strategic principal Tim Hale, The Kinder Institute of Life Planning founder George Kinder, KPMG RDR IFA strategy director Jeremy Oakley and Scottish Widows head of IFA consultancy David Shelton.
