Money Channel putting Faith in Sofa members

Adam Faith&#39s Money Channel has resorted to looking down the side of the

Sofa to findIFAs for its programmeMoney Matters.

A lack of suitable candidates from other sources has seen the programme

maker plunder the database of the trade association in an effort to find

informed comment and debate.

The channel uses the Sofa IFAs in the weekday programme&#39s listening

audience as well as on its expert panel of three.

The IFAs are enlisted from the Sofa site&#39s database which was designed to

put consumers in contact with recommended IFAs in their area.

Money Matters producer Samantha Penfold admits a “large proportion” of its

guests come from the site. Other participants volunteer or are recommended

but are not enough to make up numbers.
