Misys networks to recruit Colonial salesforce

Misys networks Kestrel and IFA Network plan to recruit 350 of the Colonial

salesforce franchisees left jobless after Winterthur&#39s takeover of

Colonial Life.

If all 350 are recruited, the number of registered individuals in the

Misys stable would rise to nearly 5,000.

The networks say they were inundated with calls from the franchisees

interested in joining following the £332m takeover of Colonial last


Kestrel and IFA Network are holding a meeting this Wednesday to hammer out

a fast-track application process and a business plan for the RIs.

Although the ex-Colonial salespeople number around 450, not all meet the

criteria required by Misys IFA services. The main requirements are the

ability to generate commission of more than £50,000 a year and FPC


Misys IFA services hopes to be able to get the RIs on board by Monday.

Misys IFA services head of marketing Andrew Bedford says: “The key is to

get them trading quickly so we will be working out a fast-track application

process and how to train them quickly.”

Misys has also confirmed the last two members ofits stakeholder panel of

six companies will be Axa Sun Life and Scottish Equitable, as revealed by

Money Marketing last week.
