Millfield may ditch Sirius

IFA Millfield is reviewing its relationship with financial software company Sirius and is believed to be dropping the company altogether.

Following the announcement to the stock exchange of the merger between Millfield and Inter-Alliance on October 1 2004, it is believed Millfield plans to adopt the Inter-Alliance Intelliflo system across the group.

Millfield group operations director Mike Duncan says the IFA is reassessing Sirius for functionality and making a detailed analysis of whether they will take their relationship forward. Duncan admits there have been problems with Sirius’ Swift package and commission processing.

Whatever software Millfield adopts, it must be able to cope with compliance and its multi-tie proposition. Duncan says: “We need a system that can cope with the size of the business and flexibility.”

An announcement on the future of the system will be made at the end of the month.
