MGM to support advisers&#39 training

MGM Assurance is creating a support network to help advisers selling protection products with training and sales skills.

MGM says this is in response to the growth in sales of its protection products which have more than doubled in the last year and which it believes are set to increase dramatically.

The network will provide specialist support to advisers selling non-investment products, appointed representatives and regulated mortgage advisers.

Training, development and sales support will continue to be provided from regional centres while a dedicated business support unit is being created at the head office in Worthing offering centralised agency services, partnership marketing and promotions.

MGM Assurance general manager for appointed representatives Paul Rowell says: “We are adapting the support we offer our agents to reflect the different needs of investment advisers and those selling pure protection. Those disciplines have quite different expectations of a host company, as do brokers specialising in mortgages.

“These changes reflect our commitment to appointed representatives while providing a framework for developing protection and other non-investment sales.”
