M&G&#39s Bond ambition

As another Isa season is fast approaching, so is an important anniversary which M&G does not want anyone to forget.

October 16 marks the fifth anniversary of the M&G high-yield corporate bond fund and the company wants to give you the opportunity to join in the celebration. It is offering two luxury weekends for two people in Mayfair&#39s exclusive Bond Street.

M&G launched the first unit trust in 1931 and has continued its innovation over the past 70 years.

As one of the biggest and most established fixed-interest investors in the UK with over £60bn of fixed-interest assets under management, M&G says it understands the importance of a good reputation built up over time.

Old Bond Street has been linked to money throughout the ages. It was named after Sir Thomas Bond, financial controller for King Charles I. Bond Street has become renowned for its sophistication and is the ultimate location for a lavish weekend away.

As 80 per cent of M&G&#39s retail sales come from intermediaries, the firm says it knows it is important to recognise and appreciate the bond that it has built up with advisers over the years.

The first prize in the competition includes three nights at Claridge&#39s, one of the most prestigious hotels in London, with dinner at the highly acclaimed Gordon Ramsay at Claridge&#39s restaurant.

The first prize also includes theatre tickets, including pre-theatre dinner at one of London&#39s premier restaurants such as Quo Vadis or the Savoy River Restaurant, and a Champagne reception.

M&G is also giving 20 runners-up the chance to win a box of three luxury wines from Bibendum, a London-based premier wine merchants. Simply complete the three questions on the entry form.

Those taking part can also order up to 25 copies of M&G&#39s Spin-Free Guide to Bonds, which is designed to explain everything about bonds to clients in an impartial and straightforward way.

The guide also includes information on two of M&G&#39s top bond funds – the corporate bond fund, the first pure corporate bond fund introduced into the UK in 1994, and the high-yield corporate bond fund launched in 1998.
