Merrill Lynch global appointments

Merrill Lynch Investment Management is appointing Robert Doll and Peter Gibbs as global chief investment officer and global chief operating officer respectively.

Carol Galley and Stephen Zimmerman both retire from their posts as senior vice presidents and members of Merrill Lynch&#39s executive management committee and joint chief operating officers of MLIM.

MLIM president Jeffrey Peek says: “Bob and Peter, two of our organisation&#39s most talented individuals, assume these new roles in a business that has never been better positioned for growth.”
