Mercantile fixes for five years


Mercantile Building Society is launching a five-year fixed-rate mortgage.


The rate is fixed at 5.45 per cent offering 90 per cent loan to value.


There are no compulsory insurances or mortgage indemnity fees and free unemployment cover is available for the first 12 months.


It has a 5 per cent redemption fee during the fixed period with no tail thereafter. The booking fee is £100 and completion fee is £195.

Funds under management in Scotland increase
