Meet the offshore challenge

This month’s Money Marketing Live in Manchester will once again feature an arena dedicated to the future of offshore finance.

Taking place at the G-Mex centre in Manchester on September 27, the International Money Marketing Arena will provide financial intermediaries with an insight into the international invest- ment industry.

In the seminar programme, offshore wraps and wealth management will be considered by Irvine Baxter, head of international sales and development at Axa Isle of Man. He will identify how it is possible to position clients’ assets to achieve efficient tax planning combined with entrepreneurial estate planning, packaged with true open architecture.

Richard Leeson, investment relationship manager at Prudential will discuss international bonds and cash investment. The focus will be on the opportunities for investing in cash and the attractions of offshore bonds for UK small to medium-size enterprises and trustee cash investments.

Also speaking will be Ben Nicholson, professional services account manager at Moneycorp who will offer an insight into foreign exchange and the effect that it can have on the financial and professional services sectors.

In addition to the presentations, there will be a special industry-led panel debate discussing the opportunities for intermediaries in the offshore world.

The panel will be chaired by Alan Morgan-Moodie, chairman of the Association of International Life Offices. Panellists will include David Reynolds, tax manager at KPMG in the Isle of Man, and David Ferguson, director of independent consult- ancy the Abacus.

The exhibition at Money Marketing Live will feature a total of more than 80 product and service providers, with some of the offshore industry’s major institutions taking part, including Prudential International and Isle of Man Finance.
