Next month's Money Marketing Live in Manchester will once again feature an arena dedicated to the fut-ure of offshore finance.
Taking place at the G-Mex Centre in Manchester on September 28, the International Money Marketing Arena will provide financial intermediaries with an insight into the international investment industry.
Speakers in the seminar programme include Bradford and Bingley International director and general manager John Sheath who will open the day by discussing the issues surrounding offshore bank accounts, identifying how they operate and the imp-act of the European Savings Tax Directive.
The new rules on pension simplification will then be considered by Scottish Equitable International head of marketing Steven Whalley. He will focus on its impact on people considering retiring abroad and the relevance of off-shore contracts in retirement planning.
Also speaking will be Brian Murphy, senior financial planner at Axa Isle of Man, who will highlight what considerations should be taken into account when it comes to selecting a trust and trustees.
In addition to the presentations, there will be a special industry-led panel debate discussing the opportunities for intermediaries in the offshore world.
Chaired by Stuart Fairclough, chief executive of the Association of Inter-national Life Offices, panellists will include John Allison, marketing director of Scottish Life International, independent consultant David Ferguson and Steve Travis, manager of the international personal financial planning division at the Fry Group.
The exhibition at Money Marketing Live will feature over 80 product and service providers, with some of the offshore industry's major institutions participating, including Prudential International and Isle of Man Finance.
