Pink says Meeks will be concentrating on his family business, which he has found harder to work on during the current economic turndown.
Meeks will now move to a non-executive portfolio or consultancy career which he says will allow him to better balance business and family life.
Meeks says: “I am very proud of what has been achieved at Pink in the last two years, in that it is now one of the biggest and most respected mortgage distribution and network brands in the UK. The team I leave behind I feel is well suited to cope with whatever future challenges are presented to them.”
Pink Group chairman John Gibson says: “Barry leaving both Pink and The Skipton Group marks a significant change for us all after such a long period of service. We wish him and his family every success for the future in his own business and appreciate the benefit his wealth of knowledge can bring to a non-executive role or consultancy.”
Managing director David Copland says: “Barry’s leadership and experience in the financial services industry has certainly helped us capitalise on the good times and adapt quickly to the new and fast paced marketplace we now find ourselves in. I wish him every success in the future.”
