Private Medical Insurance portal MediQuote has signed a deal with Misys IFA Services to provide a direct online quotation service to the 1,300 Kestrel and Countrywide members.
The service had been previously available but only via fax or email rather than using the internet. This changed as of October 1, 2001 when IFAs belonging to the two networks were offered online access to some 100 products from 13 providers.
Sirius Financial Systems managing director of insurance distribution Mike Dodd, who owns MediQuote, says: “The market for sales of PMI and associated products such as cash plans is growing fast. Clearly, Countrywide is a very significant player in the market and we are delighted to be linking up with them on this initiative.”
