Matrix Financial Planning has won free software and training worth £10,000 in a competition set up by IFA technology firm 1st Software.
Matrix submitted a 500word business plan on how IT could move its business forward. The firm picked up its prize at a recent 1st Software User conference attended by over 550 advisers.
1st Software managing director Rory Curran presented the prize to Colin Kemp and Robin Port, founding partners of Matrix.
Matrix was set up last year with five registered individuals and around 2,000 clients.
Kemp says: “We were very pleased to win the award because it comes at an ideal time in our business development. We are a young, highly qualified IFA company set up in a partnership practice. There is no doubt that working with 1st Software will help us to achieve our objectives.”
Curran says: “We felt that the only way to prove how client management technology can revolutionise a business was to put our money where our mouth is.”
1st Software has more than 50 staff and a 20 per cent share of the directly author-ised IFA market.
