Matrix expands to meet IFA demand

Matrix has reorganised and expanded its fund of hedge fund sales team as its products are gaining popularity with advisers.

Its funds of hedge funds were recently made available through the Nucleus, FundsDirect and James Hay wraps. It says existing demand for the funds, rather than anticipated demand due to the new distribution links, prompted the changes.

Matrix says it has developed relationships with IFA firms that have several advisers, so a bigger sales team will offer a complete service to a range of advisers.

Former sales director Alan Sinstead is now group sales director (Asia), promoting Matrix products to financial advisers and private banks in the Far East.

Previous head of sales Luke Reeves has been promoted to head of retail and institutional business development while Richard Jones and Glenn Hamilton have been appointed UK business development directors.

New recruit Sid Mansukhani joined as sales manager while Rachael Partridge fills the role of sales support executive. Further appointments are expected over the next few months.

Managing director Bridget Guerin says: “We are expanding the sales team because there is increased appetite for funds of hedge funds among a broader range of advisers.”
