Matrix appoints new CEO

Matrix has appointed Chris Merry as the group’s new chief executive officer.

Merry had been at Matrix since January 2007 having previously held the position of group development director.

He joined the firm from Whitehead Mann Group Plc, where he was group CEO since October 2004. He has also held roles at law firm Clifford Chance LLP and Cooper & Lybrand during his 24 year career.

Matrix chairman David Royds says: “Matrix has grown rapidly over the past few years and has now reached a size where it makes sense to reorganise the key executive roles. I will continue as chairman and will work with Chris to give Matrix the right structure for the next stage in our growth and development.”

Merry says: “I am delighted to be taking on this role at an exciting time for Matrix and look forward to working with David to continue the Group’s success.”
