Mason sets up marketing firm

Sharon Mason, previously marketing director of Momentum and then Origen, has left to set up her own “pay-as-you-go” marketing and PR company, SMUK Marketing.

Mason was marketing director of Momentum Financial Services from 2001 until this year following the MBO from Aon Consulting through to its acquisition by Aegon in 2002 and its merger with Origen last year.

Her firm offers from corporate positioning, brand management and lead-generation, through to research, PR, graphic design and copywriting.

Mason says, “I have set up SMUK Marketing as a virtual marketing and PR resource. What is different about us is we only bring in expertise when clients need it. They only pay for the resources they use and are not financing big agency overheads.”
