Martyn sells MMA stake for semi-retirement

My Money Adviser co-founder and managing director Ann-Marie Martyn has quit the firm, selling her stake to majority shareholder Quay Software.

Martyn is best known for her six years with IFA Promotion, with half that time as chief executive. She co-founded IFA software designer MMA two years ago with partners Mitchell Philpott and Roland Rawicz-Szczerbo.

Martyn says she is semi-retiring from financial services after 20 years to spend more time with her family. However, she plans to take up two chairman positions with financial services firms.

Rawicz-Szczerbo will take over sales and marketing responsibilities for MMA. The company designs and runs bespoke websites for over 430 IFA firms, including national firms Millfield Partnership and Park Row.

Martyn says: “Having been given the opportunity to sell my shares I decided to step aside. We have taken MMA to the point where it is a maintenance job now.

My talents lie in getting it to that stage.”

Rawicz-Szczerbo says: “We owe Ann-Marie a huge debt for establishing MMA and for championing e-commerce among IFAs.”
