Martin Currie teams up with Alliance Trust Savings

Martin Currie has selected Alliance Trust Savings as its preferred provider to take over managing and administering investment trust investment plans, ISAs and PEPs for 8,000 customers who invest through these products.

Martin Currie has written to investors and IFAs to explain the reasons for the transfer, which is scheduled for 24 February 2006, subject to approval from the FSA.

The company says existing investors are not obliged to transfer to Alliance Trust Savings.
