Macquarie launches RDR transition support

Macquarie has launched a new support service to help advisers transform their businesses in line with the retail distribution review.

Veracity Asset Transformation will be headed by John Baxter, who joined Macquarie March this year, having previously led the True Financial Planning and MLP planning businesses.

The service will help IFAs redefine their client proposition, provide a detailed review of legacy assets, adopt new model portfolios and deal with the pile of paperwork the transition creates.

Baxter says: “Many adviser firms are telling us that while they embrace the RDR principles, they do not have the detailed know-how and resources to accomplish the transition successfully, especially without impacting on their profitability.

“Veracity supports advisers to make the transition to the new business model, creating a more sustainable and valuable business that is better placed to deliver quality, ongoing advice to clients.”
