Macari joining Aegon UK as head of platform consultancy

Aegon UK has recruited former Axa Wealth head of business services Lou Macari.

Macari will head Aegon’s platform consultancy unit responsible for supporting advisers moving on to the provider’s at-retirement platform Aegon Retirement Choices.

He worked at Axa Wealth for 11 years and was responsible for building the training and support services available to advisers.

In January, Aegon appointed former Axa Wealth business development director Martin Coyle as head of platform sales.

ARC launched in November and Aegon’s workplace proposition is expected to launch around mid-2012.
