The Standard Life telesales team will introduce its client bank to LV=’s 50 Plus plan and IP plan, with Standard Life taking responsibility for the sale and LV= managing the underwriting, admin and servicing of policies.
The link-up mirrors the existing partnership between LV= and Nationwide, with Nationwide offering LV=’s life, protection and general insurance products.
LV= director of distribution strategy and business development Stuart Tragheim says the partnership builds on “substantial experience in packaging life and general insurance products for customers”.
He says: “We are delighted to have won this partnership and to be the new provider of specialist protection solutions to Standard Life’s customers. As a financially strong mutual organisation, we plan to extend our partner of choice franchise.”
Standard Life client management chief executive Anne Gunther says the move will enable the firm to develop its direct-to-customer proposition and offer clients “an holistic approach to their financial planning needs”.
