LV= picks ex-IFA Lentz for pension development

LV= has appointed ex-IFA Brian Lentz as product development manager on its pension team.

Money Marketing previously revealed LV=’s plans to expand its range of retirement products. Last month, the company told MM it is considering launching a variable annuity as well as a fixed-term product to rival Living Time’s offering.

Lentz spent 21 years working as an IFA and mortgage broker. More recently, he has provided consultancy services to financial services firms such as LV= and Prudential. He is also a former deputy chairman of Aifa’s protection taskforce.

LV= head of pensions Ray Chinn says: “Lentz’s IFA experience will help provide important insight in continuing to develop the range of retirement solutions LV= is bringing to the market.”

Lentz says: “It is exciting to be developing new products and solutions that will continue to provide flexible and relevant options for IFAs to be able to offer their clients at retirement.”
