LV= and software provider Distribution Technology are offering consumers a free online financial advice service to be used before they seek the guidance of a financial adviser.
The financial check-up tool has been designed to help people analyse their financial priorities, including budgeting, protection, mortgages, retirement, savings and investments.
The financial services group says it sees the value of givingits customers free access to financial guidance before they seek professional guidance.
Users of the financial check-up tool are being encouraged to contact LV= staff and their existing financial adviser for assistance after using the web-based service.
LV= financial advice serv-ices director Robin Willison says: “In many cases, our members and customers are look-ing for help and assistance with their finances before contacting, or meeting with, a financial adviser.
“Financial check-up delivers this in a convenient and intuitive manner.”
Distribution Technology chief executive Ben Goss says: “The internet is fast becoming the consumer’s channel of choice for initiating their search for financial products and guidance. However, until now there have not been any sites which provide custom-0ers with accurate assistance as to what they should do with their finances.”
