LV= appoints Iain Clark as director of protection

LV= has appointed Iain Clark as its new director of protection.

His appointment follows a number of other additions to LV=’s protection management team including Mark Jones as head of protection product and Mike Farrell as head of protection sales.

Clark, who has 24 years experience in the protection market, joins from Legal & General, where he was sales director for its IFA protection business.

He will be responsible for LV=’s entire protection business. Jones and Farrell will report directly to Clark.

Managing director for life and pensions Richard Rowney says: “LV= had very strong growth in protection during 2010 with sales increasing by around 35 per cent, and we are delighted to further strengthen our team by recruiting someone of Iain’s calibre.”
