Long wait goes on for answers

On September 14, I wrote to two firms, Axa and Standard Life, asking for bond values and details of reassignment. I then went on holiday.

On my return, I found that both of them had sent the assignment but neither of them had achieved a bond value. I waited on the phone for nearly a quarter of an hour with each company in order to get the right information, only to be told in the case of Standard Life that “they were extremely busy and could not do it yet” and yet this is going back more than a month.

It really is astonishing how awful these insurance companies are. By contrast, Legal & General managed to send out the paperwork and the value on the same day.
