Long Term Care Royal Commission announces findings today

The Royal Commission on Long Term Care will announce its findings this afternoon.

Sir Stewart Sutherland will make a statement at 3.30pm at the offices of the health service think tank The King&#39s Fund.

At the same time, Health Secretary Frank Dobson will announce the findings to the Commons.

The widely-leaked report is expected to recommend that the Government assumes responsibility for the health component of the care but not for &#39hotel costs&#39. But a dissenting opinion will suggest that the public be forced to make provision for both healthcare and hotel costs.
