While researching the buy-to-let market, an MM hack was pointed in the direction of UK mortgage expert Owen Carey Jones.
Searches could only unearth the director, writer and luvvy OMC Jones, famous auteur of the film Baby Blues.
Further probing led to the amazing disc-overy that they are one and the same person.
Jones is directing a new film which the Diary hopes is mort-gage-themed, perhaps a remake of the Steve Martin hit Bringing Down The House (Prices) or the 2003 film House of 1,000 (KFI) Corpses.
Poor old Mail on Sunday finance hack Richard “Disco” Dyson was nearly left high and dry by his cunning rivals on Wednesday’s Money Mail.
Richard, unaware that a lunchtime bash was at a hotel a stone’s throw from the Mail offices in Kensing-ton, waited patiently outside for a cab after being told one was ordered in his name. It was only after a 15-minute wait that the other hacks, who had walked to the lunch, called to find starving Richard still waiting outside and told him of the prank.
