Loan service targets non-specialist IFAs

Mortgage broker Belvins Franks Group is offering a loan-placing service for IFAs which do not specialise in mortgages.

Just A Mortgage offers IFAs up to a quarter of the procuration fee for loans placed through the service.

It aims to provide IFA clients with advice from authorised consultants. IFAs will also be offered exclusive mortgage deals and a website-based mortgage search and information service that they can add to their own website.

According to Just A Mortgage, the service can help IFAs promote loyalty by retaining customers who might otherwise seek mortgage advice from a competitor firm.

The company is also considering joint marketing initiatives such as producing literature specially branded for individual IFAs.

The launch is timed to coincide with the introduction at the end of this year of the Mortgage Code Compliance Board&#39s new rules requiring mortgage advisers to obtain either Cemap or Maq qualifications.

Sales and marketing director Christopher Tanner says: “Just A Mortgage was conceived as a means of giving professionals the ability to expand their business by providing mortgages for their clients simply and quickly.

“It is a professional service that is available through IFAs and is not available directly to the public on the internet.”
