Lloyds names intermediary sales bosses

Mike Jones

Lloyds Banking Group has named the three intermediary sales bosses it will retain after it asked them to reapply for their jobs.

Earlier this week it was announced Halifax head of sales Ian Wilson, Cheltenham & Gloucester head of sales Kevin Purvey, Birmingham Midshires head of sales Phil Rickards and head of national accounts Maria Harris were all asked to reapply for their jobs following the closure of Cheltenham & Gloucester for Intermediaries.

The closure, which was announced in March, means there will only be two sales teams – Birmingham Midshires and Halifax – and the national accounts department.

Wilson, Rickards and Harris will stay in their current roles but Purvey has not kept his role.

LBG sales director for mortgages Mike Jones (pictured) says: “This is an important step in building our intermediary team for the future, and I look forward to working with Maria, Phil and Ian. I would also like to thank Kevin for his valuable contribution to the intermediary business over the years.”
