Lloyds may not close C&G branches

Lloyds Banking Group says it is reviewing its plans to close all of its 164 Cheltenham & Gloucester branches.

The bank recently revealed it is streamlining the Lloyds/HBOS business, which included the closure of all C&G branches. But now reports suggest that Lloyds may not close the branches, which was originally planned for November.

The group says that in the meantime, the branches would not close in November as planned.

A spokesperson says: “Customers will continue to use the C&G network as usual. All affected colleagues have been briefed by their line manager today.”
