Lloyd George launches GEM fund for Langridge

Lloyd George Management has launched a global emerging markets fund for Kathryn Langridge.

The LG global emerging markets high yield Equity fund is a Dublin-domiciled Ucits III fund. It will hold quality companies with strong cash flows and business models in which the manager sees growth potential. She will focus on valuation when selecting stocks.

Langridge says in a statement: “Typically growth companies that pay attractive dividends tend to understand the importance of efficient capital management; they are cash generative and have high standards of corporate governance and transparency.”

The portfolio will aim for both capital growth and income. The group expects the fund’s dividend yield to be a significant contributor to returns.
During her 17 years at Invesco Perpetual, Langridge managed the global smaller companies and Asia funds. She joined Lloyd George Management in September 2007 as the head of the Gem team.
