Livingstone joins EFM

Edinburgh Fund Managers is expanding its funds of funds and manager selection division with the appointment of John Livingstone from Henderson Global Investors.

Livingstone will be joint head of managed funds research for EFM&#39s Edinburgh Portfolio and will work alongside Craig Heron. He will be responsible for fund and sector research and analysis.

His appointment follows the appointment of Mark Harris as head of investment management at the end of last year.

Livingstone has been a portfolio manager at Henderson since April 2000, where he was also responsible for fund analysis and sector reviews. He was previously at Frank Russell for five years as a portfolio analyst.

The Portfolio range has 11 funds. Its flagship funds are the Edinburgh fund of funds and Edinburgh performance portfolios, which have returned top-quartile performance over six months, one, three and five years.

Edinburgh Portfolio managing director Paul Talbot says: “We are delighted John has joined the team and have not forgotten that a key ingredient in the analytical process of selecting the managers for our portfolios is the quality of people who undertake the research.”
