Liverpool Victoria to give £100K to replace Farepak scheme losses

Liverpool Victoria has said it will return a total of up to £100,000 to assist any members who have lost money in the Farepak Christmas club scheme.

Any members affected will receive a gift of £100 if they write to ‘Farepak Gift Scheme’, The Farepak Officer, Marketing Department Liverpool Victoria, County Gates, Bournemouth BH12 NF4 before 5pm on December 15.

Members can also email feedback@liverpool-victoria.co.uk with their full name, address, Liv Vic policy number and their Farepak reference number quoting Farepak Gift Scheme in the subject heading.

Claims will be met on a first come first serve basis until the total reaches £100,000 after which the society will review applications on a case-by-case basis.

Liverpool Victoria group chief executive Mike Rogers says: “As a membership organisation we are committed to protecting our members and their money. Whilst the situation surrounding Farepak is in no way linked with Liverpool Victoria, we are extremely concerned about the impact on our members and I am delighted to be able to offer them some support at this unfortunate time.”
