Liontrust expands team with New Star hire

Liontrust Asset Management has appointed New Star’s Tim Gordon as third party distribution manager.

Gordon joins the company on January 5 2009 from New Star where he is currently sales manager of partnerships for the Midlands and the west and south-west of England.

In his new role he will be responsible for expanding sales through life companies and fund platforms.

Liontrust is seeking to build its presence in the discretionary market and expand into the wider IFA market. It is also looking to expand its fund range which is currently concentrated on UK and continental European equities.

Liontrust head of wholesale distribution Mickey Morrissey says: “Tim’s arrival means we can better service life companies and platforms and reiterates our commitment to this part of the market. With the majority of fund sales across the industry coming through life companies and platforms, they have a key role to play in Liontrust’s expansion strategy.”
