Liontrust appoints Rob Page to marketing role

Liontrust Asset Management has announced the appointment of ex-New Star marketing director Rob Page.

Page joins the firm in July 2008 in the same role with current marketing director Jonathan Harbottle becoming European sales director.

Page was marketing director at New Star since its launch back in 2001, he has also held roles at Barings and Hill Samuel.

He says: “I chose Liontrust over a number of other options because of its exceptionally strong investment proposition. It is a company with an outstanding core funds offering built upon a foundation of carefully tailored and well articulated investment processes. I was immediately struck by the depth of intellectual thinking of Liontrust’s managers and the company’s refreshing forward thinking culture.”

“It is a very well run business with a great desire to grow assets, but not at the expense of performance of its clients.”

Merger plans for New Star funds

New Star is to merge two single-country funds. The 5.5m Japan fund will merge into the 105m Pacific growth and the 7.7m North America fund merges with the 12.6m North America Fof portfolio.

Add the instant gratification of the democratic electoral cycle and, instead of good policy making, you sometimes get the equivalent to a midnight binge in front of the fridge.
