Personal finance website Interactive Investor has teamed up with IFA firm Lee Associates to offer a new online service, Interactive Financial Adviser.
The website, which launched on September 1, offers execution-only transactions as well as access to full financial advice through Cambridgeshire IFA Lee Associates. Users can get information about financial products on the site, which encourages people to seek advice for “complex financial issues”.
The service will be promoted initially to Interactive Investor’s 1.2 million monthly users and the 150,000 people who visit Moneywise.co.uk.
Interactive Investor chief executive Tomas Carruthers says: “The retail distribution review is going to change the landscape forever and our values are ideally suited to delivering a modern service.”
Ample Financial Services director Colin Parkin says there is a growing demand for information about financial products and services. He says: “I think more and more of these types of websites will come to market as we get closer to the RDR. With any decision you make, such as buying a car, you research it first. A financial product is no different.”
