National IFA Lighthouse has renewed its deal to provide retirement, investment and mortgage advice to British Airways staff.
Its “affinity partnership” with BA Clubs, which provides membership benefits to around 40,000 current or former British Airways staff members, has been extended until July 2021.
Chief executive Malcolm Streatfield says the deal shows Lighthouse “remains committed” to signing more tie-ups across the UK, having recently agreed to be the adviser of choice for the likes of the Royal College of Nursing and unions Usdaw and Unison.
Two deals have already been renewed since first signed, with the Association of School and College Leaders and Prospect.
Streatfield says: “The board is delighted that we have secured this contract renewal with BA Clubs, which endorses further the high quality financial advice that Lighthouse provides to all participating members within our affinity group partners. We look forward to continuing to assist members of BA Clubs with their financial planning requirements over the years ahead.”
Lighthouse is also looking to build its in-house investment arm, Luceo Asset Management, having launched it in 2016. Last year, it reported that fund flows were topping £1m a week.
The firm made around £2m in profit in 2016, up from £900,000 the previous year.
