Lighthouse MD Stephen Gazard to join Sesame as distribution director

Lighthouse Advisory Services managing director Stephen Gazard is joining Sesame Bankhall Group as distribution director, Money Marketing understands.

Last week, Money Marketing revealed Sesame Bankhall managing director of distribution Nick Kelly has left the company following a reshuffle of its executive team. A new distribution director role has been created encompassing the majority of Kelly’s duties, which Gazard (pictured) is understood to be taking up.

Gazard has led Lighthouse Group’s network arm since April 2011 following the company restructure which brought together the Falcon Group and LighthouseXpress brands. Gazard was previously Falcon Group managing director.

A Sesame Bankhall spokesman says: “Sesame Bankhall is well advanced in the process of appointing a new distribution director and expects to make a further executive announcement in the near future.”

Lighthouse Group chief executive Malcolm Streatfield declined to comment.

Gazard was unavailable for comment.

Sesame has created six new executive roles in the reshuffle. Head of wealth management Pan Andreas is joining the executive team as wealth management director, while head of advisory services Jon Dear has been appointed marketing and propositions director. Dear will take over the marketing duties previously carried out by Kelly.

Risk and compliance director Michael Couzens has been appointed financial services development director and Temple Risk head of risk and regulation Shaun O’Leary has joined as interim chief risk officer, to take over Couzens’ former duties. Sesame head of operations Julie Sadler has been appointed operations director.

The new additions join the current executive team of executive chairman Ivan Martin, chief executive George Higginson, finance director Paul Hooper, human resources director Lisa Winnard and managing director of mortgages John Cupis.
