Lighthouse launches pension advice service

Lighthouse Group has today announced the launch of a specialist advice service to assist its advisers on pension issues.

The service will enable advisers to refer cases to in-house advisers at Lighthouse on a fee or commission split basis. Full liability for the advice will be taken by Lighthouse.

This is the first of a series of services being launched under the Lighthouse brand to support Lighthouse advisers.

The group says the service allows IFAs to retain control of clients, with a no cross-selling guarantee in place.

The areas of advice include money purchase pension reviews, final salary pension reviews, retirement options, annuities and pensions and divorce.

Lighthouse pensions service head Mark Wilson says: “This is a great opportunity for Lighthouse advisers to broaden and strengthen their offering to clients, allowing them to offer a comprehensive financial planning service supplemented with specialist advice where necessary. Pension funding is a critical issue at the moment, and in an environment with constantly evolving options it is important to ensure that IFAs have the specialist support required.

“This is also a further step that Lighthouse is taking to enable IFAs to meet their requirements of treating customers fairly. It is indicative of Lighthouse’s approach to giving advisers the structure to provide clients with fair and high quality advice.”
